Wonderful music performance!! (Vron Kev Clarke - former Community Development Officer, City of Melville).

It was so great!

Love the pic with a child’s feet in the air -so cute!

My girls really enjoyed this! Many thanks!!

Talented musicians, terrific repertoire and great fun.

It was a fabulous morning! … And great to meet Kay and her lovely kids…how good is that - they come all the way from Carine! You must be doing something right! (Gillian Catlow from Four-On-Six (Musicians)

During the recent school holidays, Elise, Wyatt and I went to a wonderful Musical Tales Concert by the fabulous @musicbookstories 😄🎶🎵📚! We all really enjoyed the stories, singing and dancing and Wyatt especially enjoyed having a turn at playing the Double Bass after the show 👏🏻\
🎶🎵! We are so lucky to have organisations such as Music Book here in Perth providing such lovely live classical music performances for our children and community. Please go and follow their account to stay up to date with their latest performances and concerts - you won’t be disappointed. (Michael Ivory - teacher WASO , Nurturing Notes and Musical Mum)

I love these kind of things for the kids!! Thank you for promoting them as oftentimes i only hear of these events after they happened! Looking forward to future musical experiences!

Our group came to your Art and Soul Concert last year and everyone loved it. We’d like to be added back into your mailing list so we can come again. (Cynthia - Bethanie Illawong, Hamilton Hill)

2014 -2018:

What a wonderful idea. It’s so nice to bring the children to something that isn’t “commercial” and is educational all at the same time. It’s great there was time for socialising with other Mums too.
Lovely to listen, I was quite relaxed. It was all wonderful and good value (Art and Soul - Dementia Workshop participant)

I (a carer) found this helped me over a stressful time, it helped me block out my worries (Art and Soul - Dementia Workshop participant)

(I was) unsure initially, but loved it once I got into it...enjoyed having other people to do it with. I loved the harp, very relaxing. Looking forward to next month. (Art and Soul - Dementia Workshop participant)

I thought it was very good. The music atmosphere - I thought was great...Really good support and encouragement...you get to meet other people - which is really important (Art and Soul - Dementia Workshop participant)

It was incredible to witness the joy, and it was all about the classical music. He is still in there and I haven’t seen it for so long. I’m overwhelmed. (Art and Soul - Dementia Workshop participant)

MusicBook presented a delightful Christmas concert incorporating music, books and stories as well as encouraging audience participation and interaction. A wonderful experience for young and old. Highly recommended for anyone looking for awesome entertainment! (State Library of WA)

Thank you.  It was such a pleasure to have you at Blue Gum yesterday. What a wonderful program.  The children (and adults) had an amazing, fun and enriching experience of stories, being up-close to the cello and keyboard being expertly played, the singing and joining in, the picnic and of course the teddy bears! (Helen from Blue Gum Community Centre)

The Music Book Teddy Bears Picnic was so wonderful this morning! Highly recommend everyone getting in early for the next one!! I’m booking the Christmas one today…My heart is full.

We loved your concert yesterday, especially the story about the man who swallowed a cello!!

FEEDBACK FOR TEACUP- ONE BOY'S STORY:

As a composer I found working with Music Book one of the highlights of my career. The level of musicianship of each of the performers within the ensemble and their commitment to achieving the highest professional outcome was outstanding. The State Library of Western Australia, where Teacup was performed, have informed me personally that the Teacup performances were one of the most successful public events ever staged at the library in terms of audience numbers and feedback. The sense of warmth and commitment to each other within the ensemble, and the passion for classical music that emanates from them suggests that whatever performances and workshop programmes they commit to, they will achieve them with brilliance. I cannot recommend Music Book highly enough for their musicianship, professionalism and ability to engage audiences. (Matt Ottley - artist, writer, composer, endorsed Yamaha musician.)

I am a librarian at the international school of Geneva (Switzerland) and by chance, happened to find a video of Music Book for the book "Teacup". Wow, what a beautiful project! Absolutely wonderful, love it! If you ever tour Europe, let me know, would love to invite you to ourschool! Thank you for such a great venture and kind regards. All the best, mp (Marie-Pierre Preece - Geneva, Switzerland)

... it's often performances and opportunities like this that light the desire for music in generations to come. They deserve every support! (Helen Tuckey, violist, WASO; Committee Member AUSTA)

Ian and I attended the Friday premiere of, “Teacup - One Boy’s Story” with my son and his family and a friend and her little girls. It was an extraordinarily well attended event with overflow on the balconies and all. Could you pass on to Rebecca and her team and all those involved in the production our congratulations for a wonderful event. The whole production was nigh on perfect, a wonderfully evocative score, beautifully rendered by all those involved, with the screen rendering of the pictures as the story wound on providing the glue which ensured all senses were involved. All should be justly proud. The little ones I was with (except for the 2 year old and he is forgiven) were riveted through the whole event.  (Margaret Nowak -Chair, State Library of Western Australia)

…Well done, it was truly beautiful… (Margaret Allen, Chief Executive Officer and State Librarian, State Library of Western Australia)

I just wanted to pass on our congratulations for the performances of Teacup-One Boy’s Story over the weekend. We were delighted to have hosted this in our building, and thank you all of you who I know worked tirelessly to produce such a magical production and experience for the audience. We could tell from the delight on people’s faces how much the audience enjoyed the experience.  I heard the Sunday went very well and the last performance had a huge number of people! …It has been such a delight to work with all of you and I am so pleased that such unique performances took place here at the Library. (Carina McPherson, Community Engagement Officer, State Library of Western Australia)

It was fantastic…

Such a beautiful show!

It was fantastic…I was in awe…

…I saw this performance today and OH.MY.GOD it is one of the most beautiful ways to tell a story I have ever seen. Three performances on tomorrow (Sunday) and they are FREE as part of Fringe World Festival. A stunning book by Rebecca Young, illustrated by the amazingly talented Matt Ottley (his original paintings for the book have been bought up in their entirety by the State Library and are on display for the performance. Matt also did the animation for the show (self-taught stop-start animation- old school) AND he composed the score for the performance - anyone else feeling inadequate??!!), there is narration, opera, piano, strings and some of the most gorgeous music and singing I've ever heard. Do yourself and your family a favour and go see this gathering of some of the most creative and talented people on this planet…

To call it beautiful doesn't do it justice…

It was absolutely beautiful. A fantastic way to tell a story. There was over 200 people there yesterday when we were there. Everyone who can go should go. It's for all ages. If I lived in Perth I would be going again…

What a beautiful performance. Shame they sold out of books. The music and artwork was amazing.

Well done everyone! Fabulous premiere for a beautiful book and music.

An amazing performance! Congratulations to all involved.

Thoroughly enjoyed today's performance! Our six year daughter just gave me this. (a drawing of the boy and his boat) Thank you for inspiring her.

(My daughter) loves this wonderful story…what a wonderful story with perfect performance. Couldn't get enough from every music story! Waiting for more to come…

Bravo for today's performances of TEACUP-One Boy's Story.

Fabulous show!

What an amazing performance. So much talent (all of you!!!). We loved it!

You don’t know me, but I wanted to thank you for your part in The Tea Cup (sic.). You enriched my, and my children’s souls. We absolutely loved every minute.

I just loved everything about Teacup. The music is glorious and the singers’ voices were exquisite.
